Impaired driving is the leading criminal cause of death and injury in Canada, according to the Department of Justice. There were more than 69,000 impaired driving incidents reported by the police across the country in 2017, including almost 3,500 drug-impaired driving incidents. Suspensions are Immediate

Those eligible for the program are responsible for the cost of installing and using the interlock.
