Derek Jugnauth, Calgary Criminal Lawyer

Mr. Jugnauth is a criminal defence lawyer in Calgary and a member of the firm Wolch Jugnauth LLP. He has been working with the firm since January 2013. Prior to that, he earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance with Distinction from the University of Saskatchewan and worked for Accenture for 10 years. Derek works exclusively as a criminal defence lawyer. During his university studies, he received several awards for academic achievement and excellence in legal research. He has appeared before all levels of court in Alberta and defended clients on various criminal code offences, including drug trafficking, fraud, assault, human trafficking, firearm offences, manslaughter, and murder. He also represents clients facing civil forfeiture applications brought by the Government of Alberta. He's a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Calgary Bar Association, and the Canadian Bar Association. He primarily serves clients in Calgary and the surrounding area and accepts private and Legal Aid retainers.
