Criminal Code Help maintains a directory of criminal defence lawyers and licensed paralegals across Canada. Lawyers can claim their profile to take control of the information it shows.
How claiming works
- Find your profile in our lawyer directory and select "Claim this profile."
- Complete the short claim form — it takes about two minutes. Using an email address on your firm's website domain usually verifies fastest; other addresses work too, they just get an extra review step.
- Confirm your email address using the link we send you.
- Our team reviews your claim. When it is accepted, your profile shows the Verified badge and your phone number and website become visible on your listing.
Claiming is free. Once your claim is accepted, you can ask us to correct or update the information on your profile — your practice details, office location, and contact information.
What "Verified" means
Verified means the lawyer, or an authorized representative, has claimed or confirmed control of the profile. It does not mean Criminal Code Help has assessed the lawyer's licensing, standing, qualifications, or quality of service — we do not perform those checks. The good-standing declaration made during claiming is the claimant's own attestation.
Not listed yet?
If you are a criminal defence lawyer or licensed paralegal practising in Canada and don't see your profile in our directory, you can request a listing.
Removal
If you prefer not to be listed in the CCH directory, send your request to removal@criminalcodehelp.ca and we will action it.
